It's a 15-minute drive to the nearest plateau, Pokljuka, which is also a wonderful starting point for the nearby mountains, including the highest Slovenian peak, Triglav.
Every year, Pokljuka hosts world cup biathlon races.

The apartments are overlooking Lake Bled and the Bled Castle, which is over 1000 years old.
If you turn north-east, you can see the highest mountain in the Karavanke range, Stol, and if you turn south, you are able to see the Jelovica Plateau and the Babji zob hill with an idyllic karst cave and which can be visited if you call ahead.On the south-east side you are able to see the Pokljuka Plateau with the Galetovec hill peeking at its foothill, with a jumping pad for paragliding.
